We consume things every day. Consumption has become an underlying element of our culture, our interaction, and our selves, with consumer society fragmenting and expanding endlessly in producing meanings. We are now continuous consumers in a consumer culture. Yet the origin of the concept of consumption is in fire and destruction. Are we consuming culture or is it slowly consuming us?
